The best way to start the week is with new music! We’ve piled them up for your listening pleasure, the best tracks released the last few days in metal, gothic, electronic, punk, hardcore and every other related underground music with female vocals. There’s also a Spotify playlist from Vokills with those songs and will be updated each week.
Kobra and the Lotus – Let Me Love You
Already a few songs from Prevail II were released the last few weeks and Let Me Love You is the latest song that Kobra and the Lotus released via Napalm Records. Hard hitting hardrock / heavy metal with loads of melody and of course the strong voice from Kobra Paige who knows exactly how to switch between the powerful parts and the more atmospheric parts. Prevail II will be the fifth full-lenght for Kobra and the Lotus and will be out April 27th. I’m looking forwards to hear Prevail II in its entire.

Witch Mountain – Burn You Down
The first time i heard Kayla Dixon voice was when Dress The Dead announced that she was added to the line up of Dress The Dead, read more about that HERE. So i was exited to find out that Witch Mountain was going to release an new album this May cause i already went through their back catalogue and found out that the recent albums had vocals from Uta Plotkin, from 2009 till 2014 that is. Uta has a great voice and you should really check out the albums with her but i was exited that Witch Mountain was going to release an new album because of Kayla’s voice. The self titled album will contain 5 songs and Burn You Down is the first song that has been released. Expect some of the finest doom with mostly clean vocals and some heavy growls here and there.

Mist – Disembody Me
Already following Mist from Slovenia since 2013 when they released their debut demo as an all female band. Nowadays Blaž Tanšek is doing the lead guitar so Mist isn’t an all female band anymore but does it really matter? The song Dismebody Me comes from the upcoming debut full-lenght Free Me of the Sun, out on June 1st via Soulseller Records. Disembody Me features what Mist does best, epic doom with bewitching vocals.

Nervosa – Never Forget, Never Repeat
Brazilian thrashers Nervosa are up for their third full-lenght and this third album carries the name Downfall of Mankind. First song that we can hear is Never Forget, Never Repeat and i shall admit, it took me a few listenings before i got into the song. The song writing is as we know it from Nervosa, excellent aggressive thrash but the production is a bit flat if you ask me. Nevertheless it grows on you and Never Forget, Never Repeat is a killer song.

Ledger – Not Dead Yet
The drummer from Skillet, an christian rock band from Memphis, is doing an solo project under her own name. Jen Ledger has a amazing voice and the self titled EP will be out April 13th via Atlantic Records. This EP will be on heavy rotation for sure at my house, can’t wait to hear the other songs.
