Little is know about this British all-female band that started in 1984 and released an EP in 1985 through Conquest Records, a small label that released a few EP’s in the mid 80’s.
Originally Oral came from Brighton and created a buzz around themselves due to the controversial lyrics. The main subject of the EP was purely sexual from a sado-masochistic and fetish perspective. Nowadays it’s nothing special anymore but back in the day it was something that raised the eyebrows for a lot of people.
Oral probably din’t foresee the existing of Google cause if you look the band up through Google you get a lot of other stuff to be seen.
The EP is in it’s physical form no longer available, it was only released on vinyl. People are talking about a CD bootleg thats circulating around the world. In the official photo’s only Bev E. Lee (vocals), Monica Ramone (Guitars) and Candy (Bass) are seen and the fourth member, Dee on drums, was hidden from all publicity that it was suspected to be a male drummer but it never was confirmed. It is said that singer Bev was only 15 years old when she joined Oral.
The actual split up year is unknown but probably it was close after the release of the EP as Candy left the band after it’s release. In 1993 two songs from the EP appeared on the Metal Master compilation from Castle Communications.
