Stephanie Masson from Canada started the all female group Novembers Grief in 1994. At first the band was called Mistrust but when Stephanie (vocals) and Annie (drums) found Guitarist Veronica the band name changed into Novembers Grief. Stephanie was before this all in a group called Burnin Flesh where she played bass.
One year after they started the first demo was recorded called Evil-Ution. The style changed a bit with the coming of Chantal whom took the rol as second guitarist. With her the band got a more thrash/death metal sound and with the second demo the band recorded they also got a more professional sound.
Problems hit the band and eventually the two founders, Stephanie and Annie, formed another group called Elixirs and that would later become Potion 13.
Potion 13 plays heavy metal, this band is still active today but without Stephanie and Annie. Stephanie was the executive producer for the debut album Porte-Bonheur and did the backing vocals on this album but disappeared after this. The album was released in 2002. In 2013 Potion 13 released the second album and Danielle Langlois is doing the vocals on this album just like she did on the debut album.
