Cult band Rock Goddess was formed in 1977 by Jody Turner when she was thirteen years old. Together with her sister Jullie who was nine years old back then the foundation was laid for what would become a big hit in the eighties in England.
Jody always played guitar and the vocals for Rock Goddess in the periods 1977-1987, 1994-1995, 2013-present. In 1988 both sisters reappeared as The Jody Turner band with two other musicians but they gained no publicity and in 1994 Jody reformed Rock Goddess but a few months later the name changed to Braindance and in 1995 the band had it’s second split up. The band did reform in 2009 to play the Hard Rock Hell festival at Wales but the band did split up again before that happend. Finally in 2013 Jody reformed the original line up from early eighties with Jody Turner, Julie Turner, and Tracey Lamb.
Jody did somewhere in 1982/1983 some guest vocals for the Tytan album Rough Justice which was posthumously released in 1985 as Tytan broke up in 1983.
A new album from Rock Goddess is on it’s way but a release date is not set in stone yet.
